2025 North Texas ACS Annual Meeting

After you select "Submit an Abstract" you will then need to create an account. This will allow you to save and return to your incomplete submission before you submit.
The presenter and principal contact will receive an auto-generated confirmation email, when the submission is submitted/finalized. If you need to make any changes after you submit/finalize, please email support@knowledgeconnex.com.
Submission Instructions
- Submit abstract using the online submission form by October 18 at 11:59 pm CDT.
- All abstracts must be submitted online via the ntexas.org abstract submission website using the online submission form. Please be sure to read all instructions, information, and policies closely.
- You may submit more than one abstract per person presenter/senior author.
- Upload graph or charts in .jpg format only (not counted in the 3,000 characters)
- The abstract body (not counting abstract title or author string) must not exceed 3,000 characters (including spaces).
- Your abstract will be accepted either as an oral presentation or poster presentation.
- Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the submitting author to be present on February 21-22, 2025, if his/her abstract is accepted.
- The entry should represent original work done by the authors.
- Papers can be presented, but not published, prior to presenting at the North Texas Chapter Meeting.
Submission Type
- If submitting an abstract use the following headings: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- If submitting a case review use the following headings: Introduction/Objective, Case Presentation, Discussion, Conclusion.
- If submitting a video abstract, use the following headings: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Your video (3 min max) should also be submitted in .mp4, .wmv, .avi or another high-quality video file format. Must be narrated in English with no background music.
- Once you select the type of submission, these fields will appear. You DO NOT need to type these headings in your fields.
Awards
You must indicate on the abstract submission form if you’d like to be considered for the following paper competitions. We will check for eligibility.
Cancer Paper Award
- Please indicate that your abstract should be considered for this award on the online abstract form.
- Abstracts submitted and presented by residents on topics specific to oncology and related to the mission of the CoC will be considered. (see mission below)
- The manuscript must have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Judging is based on originality, scientific merit, and clinical relevance to oncology and the mission of the CoC.
- Winner will receive a cash prize.
Mission of the Commission on Cancer
The CoC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care.
Trauma Paper Award
Please do not confuse this submission with the Resident Trauma Papers award with the ACS COT. This submission is for the North Texas ACS meeting only.
- Please indicate that your abstract should be considered for this award on the online abstract form.
- Abstracts submitted and presented by residents and medical students on research in trauma will be considered.
- Each eligible presenter will be judged at the time of their presentation during the meeting.
- Winner will receive a cash prize.
Best Paper Competition - North Texas Chapter ACS Annual Meeting
- Please indicate that you’d like to be considered for this award on the online abstract form.
- The abstracts must be submitted and presented by a resident and/or medical student.
- Each eligible presenter will be judged at the time of their presentation during the meeting.
- Winner will receive a cash prize.
